I was talking to one of my cohort about Downton Abbey, because I love that upstairs/downstairs period drama like nobody’s business, and they told me that I would probably love this Albert Nobbs movie where Glenn Close is a ruddy-skinned man, because of reasons. I should also tell you that they called it Downtown Abbey. I will also tell you that I can’t watch any movie where the title is severely close to a penis-innuendo without laughing on the inside until I die a horrible death. ps I know this picture is of Nick Nolte, but in my mind, he would be the ideal person to play Glenn Close playing a woman pretending to be a man.
